Terms of Service

FairSync, including the Faira assistant, compliance briefs, templates, and letter drafter, provides general educational information about fair-housing and landlord-tenant rules. It is not legal advice, does not create an attorney-client relationship, and is not a substitute for a licensed attorney who knows your facts.

Faira’s answers are generated by an AI model from a curated law database. They can be incomplete, out of date, or wrong. You are responsible for verifying anything you rely on against the cited sources and, where the stakes warrant it, with counsel or your local fair-housing agency. Laws change; our database is updated on a best-effort basis and may lag.

Coverage. At launch, Faira’s local-law coverage is limited to Oregon. Federal fair-housing law applies nationwide. Where we have no local coverage, Faira will say so.

• You must be at least 18 and able to form a binding contract.
• You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential and for all activity under your account.
• Provide accurate information, including your role and location, because Faira uses them to select the rules it applies.
• One person per account. Team plans, where offered, define their own seat rules.

You agree not to:

• Use the Service to discriminate against anyone on the basis of a protected class, or to design, disguise, or defend such discrimination.
• Send unsolicited or deceptive messages through the CRM or letter tools. You must have a lawful basis and, where required, consent to contact every recipient, and you must comply with CAN-SPAM, TCPA, and applicable state law.
• Upload content you do not have the right to use, or content that is unlawful, harassing, or infringing.
• Probe, scrape, overload, reverse-engineer, or circumvent rate limits, quotas, or security controls.
• Resell or white-label the Service without a written agreement with us.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules.

• FairSync offers Free, Pro, and High-Volume plans. Features and monthly allowances for each are shown on the Pricing page and may change for future billing periods with notice.
• Paid plans are billed in advance by subscription through Stripe. High-Volume usage beyond the included allowance is metered and billed as shown at checkout.
• You can cancel at any time from the billing portal. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; you keep access until then. We do not prorate partial periods except where required by law.
• If a payment fails we may downgrade your account to Free after reasonable notice.
• Taxes are your responsibility unless we are required to collect them.

You own the questions, letters, documents, contacts, and other content you put into FairSync. You grant us a limited license to host, process, and transmit that content to operate the Service, including sending it to the service providers named in our Privacy Policy.

We may review Faira questions and answers to improve the knowledge base. Any question-and-answer pair we add to Faira’s reference material is generalized and stripped of names, addresses, and other identifying details first.

The Service, including Faira, the compliance briefs, templates, design, and software, is owned by KPT Social and protected by copyright and other laws. You may use templates and letters you generate for your own housing operations. You may not copy, republish, or redistribute our briefs, templates, or knowledge base as a competing product.

The Service depends on third parties (AI model providers, payment processing, email delivery, hosting) listed in our Privacy Policy. We are not responsible for their outages or changes, and their own terms apply to the parts of the Service they provide.

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.” TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING ACCURACY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT FAIRA’S OUTPUT IS CORRECT, COMPLETE, OR CURRENT, OR THAT FOLLOWING IT WILL RESULT IN COMPLIANCE WITH ANY LAW.

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, FAIRSYNC AND KPT SOCIAL WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS, FINES, PENALTIES, OR LEGAL FEES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE OR RELIANCE ON ITS OUTPUT. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM IS LIMITED TO THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM, OR ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS IF YOU PAID NOTHING. SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW THESE LIMITS, SO THEY MAY NOT FULLY APPLY TO YOU.

You will defend and indemnify FairSync and KPT Social against claims arising from your content, your communications sent through the Service, or your violation of these Terms or applicable law.

You may close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for breach of these Terms, legal risk, or extended non-payment, with notice where practical. On termination your right to use the Service ends; you may request an export of your data within 30 days, after which we may delete it as described in the Privacy Policy.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Oregon, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Washington County, Oregon, and you consent to their jurisdiction. Before filing, you agree to contact us and attempt in good faith to resolve the issue for 30 days.

We may update these Terms. We will post the new version here with a new effective date and, for material changes, email account holders before they take effect. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the updated Terms.
